Terms of Service

Last updated: April 22, 2026

1. Required Federal Disclosure

Pursuant to 15 U.S.C. § 1679c, the following disclosures are required by federal law:

  • You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit bureau directly. There is no fee for this.
  • Under federal law, you have the right to obtain a copy of your credit report, notify the credit bureau of any inaccurate information, and have the information reinvestigated without any charge to you.
  • Any improvements to your credit report from the use of a credit repair organization may also be made by you at no charge if you contact the credit bureau directly.
  • You have the right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organizations Act.
  • You have the right to cancel your contract with any credit repair organization for any reason within 3 business days from the date you signed it.

2. Service Description

DisputeRight (“we,” “us,” or “the Service”) provides tools to help consumers exercise their rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including the preparation of dispute letters, automated filing of FTC Identity Theft Reports, and document preparation services for disputing unauthorized hard credit inquiries.

DisputeRight is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The service is a document preparation and automation platform. For legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.

3. Right to Cancel

You have the right to cancel your agreement with DisputeRight for any reason within 3 business days from the date of your payment. To exercise this right, you must contact us before your dispute packets have been mailed.

To request a cancellation and full refund, you may:

  • Submit a cancellation request through your account dashboard on the payment step of your case.
  • Send an email to our support team with your account email and case ID.

Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days and credited to the original payment method. After the 3-business-day cancellation window has passed, or once dispute packets have been mailed, refunds are no longer available.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use this service. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are the individual whose credit report is being disputed.

5. Fees and Payment

The service charges a document preparation fee of $20.00 USD per inquiry selected for dispute processing. Fees are charged at checkout via Stripe. This fee covers the preparation of dispute documents — not a guaranteed outcome.

Refunds are available within 3 business days of payment if requested before dispute packets are mailed. After the 3-business-day window has expired, or once dispute packets have been mailed, all fees are non-refundable. See Section 3 (Right to Cancel) for instructions on how to request a refund.

6. Automated Government Submissions

By using the FTC automation features, you authorize DisputeRight to submit information on your behalf to IdentityTheft.gov (operated by the Federal Trade Commission).

You certify that all information submitted is truthful and accurate. Filing a false identity theft report with the FTC is a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. § 1001. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all information you provide.

7. No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that any inquiry will be removed from your credit report. Results depend on the credit bureau's investigation and whether the inquiry is verifiable. Inquiries attached to open or active accounts are generally not removable under FCRA.

The service fee covers the preparation and submission of dispute documents — not a guaranteed outcome.

8. Not a Law Firm

DisputeRight is a document preparation service and is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney-client relationships. Nothing in these Terms or on our website constitutes legal advice. For legal questions, please consult a licensed attorney.

9. User Responsibilities

  • You must only dispute inquiries that are genuinely unauthorized and not associated with accounts you have opened or applied for.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate personal information, identity documents, and credit report files.
  • You must not use this service to dispute legitimate inquiries, which may constitute fraud.
  • You are responsible for mailing dispute packets (or verifying that automated mailing was completed) and for any follow-up actions.

10. Identity Documents

The service requires you to upload identity verification documents (government-issued ID, Social Security card, and a recent utility bill). These documents are stored securely and used solely for the purpose of preparing dispute packets as required by the credit bureaus. We do not share your identity documents with any third party except as part of your dispute packet.

11. Credit Repair Organizations Act Compliance

DisputeRight operates in compliance with the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), 15 U.S.C. § 1679 et seq. In accordance with CROA:

  • We do not charge or receive any money before fully performing the services we have agreed to perform.
  • We provide you with a written contract before any services are rendered.
  • We honor your right to cancel within 3 business days of payment, as described in Section 3.
  • We do not make false or misleading statements about our services or your credit.
  • We do not advise you to make any false statements to a consumer reporting agency or creditor.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DisputeRight shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to credit score changes, denied credit applications, or errors in government submissions.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific case giving rise to the claim.

13. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used for fraudulent purposes, or submit false dispute information. Fees are non-refundable upon termination for cause.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which DisputeRight is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Contact
